Today is an amazing day for me! I have received my painting.

I love it so much! Colours are so bright and intense! Cannot wait till I will hang it on the wall. Since the beginning the customer service was incredibly fast!

I was receiving responses for my questions right away. We have to be prepared for the additional tax fee in EU.

But still! This piece of art is worth it!

Firstly, this website afremov.com is NOT clear that the picture you'll receive is not an original, but a studio copy. It seems deliberately deceitful in its wording - even the invoice slip is worded as though this is an original painted by Leonid Afremov.

Having said that, the price told me that it would probably be a copy.

But I did expect it to be a decent copy. It's painted by Christian Hubro, and is a very poor copy indeed. If I'd seen a picture of this rather than the original on the afremov.com website I would not have ordered it. I expected my reproduction to look like the original.

The colours are dull and flat and the figure (way to warmth) looks as though he's wearing a strange hat rather than carrying an umbrella.

No vibrancy whatsoever to it.

Ugh. I'm now in a catch 22, as I have to either keep an uninspiring copy or return it and pay not only the cost of postage, but lose the £17 customs charge I had to pay as well.

I feel thoroughly cheated, and would not recommend this company to anyone.

I ordered 4 paintings as recreations from afremov. I only write this review because they are not answering my complaints.

Those were:

"Rain Princess 3"

"Morning Sun of January"

"Music"

"Old Magic"

At first, I received only the 3 first called paintings. Old magic is still pending. Even in Corona-times the delivery was incredibly fast, so I was really impressed.

But as soon I got my paintings I opened them and were more than disappointed.

I would like to cite the page itself: "his recreation was finished by Leonid Afremov himself with the help of his best studio artists to do pencil drawing and basic background." "This recreation is made almost identical to the original image that you see online. The only difference is patterns and minor details that give the recreation and original feel." and "This piece was created with the same amount of soul and emotion just like the first original painting." and from the page which explains recreation: "Leonid employees profesional artists who do the pencil drawings and backround layers for him. Then he himself finished the details of the painting. "

The Rain princess 3 looks like a rain princes painting, but totally not like Rain princess 3. It looks like a cheap copy of it. lines are just straight strokes instead of the original round lines and the effect is total different. The tree in the background is a drawn joke, the buildings to the right are just blocks and there is not any 3D-deep-effect like in the original, which it claims to be almost identical to. the strokes are just way less and bigger and much more loveless. It does not look like Rain princess 3 and it does not in any kind look "almost identical". This is just a lie.

But it gets better with "Music". This just looks like a child made his first steps with perspective painting and is putting all the assembly parts of the violin somewhere in totally wrong positions and wrong proportions, same with the glass. Some parts are horrible deformed and the books look like breaking skyscrapers. It has nothing to do with the original and is not in any way almost identical".

The best part becomes the morning sun of January. Even if I would try this myself, I need to put effort in it to make it that bad. I thought I am a bad joke to them. I really can't imagine that Leonid ever touched this painting or would have let it be sold. Because the name on this picture just ruins his name and all of his creations with such examples. Just look at the original and the "recreation" I also uploaded.

If someone describes on his page that these paintings look "almost identical" and it is finished by Leonid Afremov, what do you expect? So even if you watch his videos doing recreations? Such paintings?

I'm not even sure how they have done this. I would expect that they will use a projector or something and then doing the pencil work etc. But because all the stuff is even in the wrong positions it seems they are just terrible high speed painting without putting any effort in it.

Well it seems that receiving a really nice paintings from Afremov for just $149 stays an illusion. If I would have read this page and the reviews here, I would not have bought those paintings.

I would rather get a giclée print of those.

So for the "old magic"-painting which is still missing, I wrote them I want a picture of it. I put my complaints and that wish in one mail, and they didn't respond, besides else they respond really fast.

What I have read now is in another complaint from october 2019. A copmment from afremovs themselfs about recreations: "We sale studio recreations , and some recreations that are done by my father and the studio together ( I think in couple days we will sale the last one and the category will be removed)". How interesting that 9 months later there are still such recreations!

So I knew upon purchasing this artwork that it was not the original and that it was just a recreation. I was fine with that.

What I'm not fine with is what I got. Complete garbage. The painting is so sloppily done, it looks like some 10 year old kid was paid $20 to recreate this piece in 45 mins and the con artists at afremov.com turned it for a profit. There is white splattered all over the place that makes no sense for reflections and the lamp posts are a comical single line with a "w" at the top.

Colors are bland and dull (not vibrant like in the original). No DETAILS whatsoever and so sloppy....DO NOT BUY FROM afremov.com.

It's a total rip off. First photo is what I thought I was getting (or at least close to it) and 2nd photo is what I actually got...($200 garbage).

I placed an order for 2 prints, spending $334.40 on July 10. They told me theyd send one now but the other was in another gallery and would take another week.

I followed the tracking for the first print as it went from Mexico to Canada to Miami to Kentucky then back to Canada yesterday where it was signed for at a residence. I live in Pennsylvania. I sent an email asking what happened and said to cancel my order since it clearly isnt coming to me and I dont trust them. Today, I get another email from them, ignoring my email from yesterday, with tracking information for something else leaving Mexico.

I believe everything about this company is a scam and Im contacting my bank to file a dispute. DONT BUY!

When I was placing an order I was confused at first whether it is an original painting or a recreation. I think this info is a little bit hard to find, however, at the second glance I noticed it.

Bought a recreation of one of my favorite Afremovs painting. NO complains, the order arrived to Canada in about 3 weeks I believe. Honestly, I expected it will take more time.

The canvas and oil paint are really high quality, and I really like how my painting looks.

Maybe its a recreation but it looks just like the original on the website. Very satisfied.

Purchased a reproduction of Afremovs painting, Fairwell Sunset. Got it framed and hung on the wall.

It is only vaguely similar to the original. The colours are darker and much less vibrant, sloppy brush strokes, areas just smudged in, lacking detail. It looks like someone just rushed to paint it in an hour or two to get it out.

Not what I was expecting. Disappointed and deceived.

Compare the original with the reproduction in the images.

I ordered a painting on June 2. I received an email indicating that a FedEx label was created on July 2 and it was going to be picked up within a few days.

It is July 14 and FedEx still has not received my package. I emailed customer service and was told my package would be in the mail by yesterday, July 13.

As of today, it has still not been shipped. I should have realized this was all a scam.

I was not aware these were "reproductions" until I viewed the certificate that came with the painting. The actual ordering and shipping went fine. I was in touch with someone claiming to be Mr.

Afremov's son who expedited shipping.

Anyway, it looks like the reproduction's artist allowed their 4-year old son to vomit on the canvas and then fingerpaint the name of the famous London pub. I'm almost happily eating the $150 wasted on this garbage and going to nail the painting up just behind the toilet in one of my bathrooms to remind me, in a sort of jovial way, how NOT to get ripped off again.

$149 for originals from a famous artist sounded too good to be true, so I did a background check. Seems like the artists crooked sons find it in good taste to sell originals and deliver *** remakes.

To the sons: you inbred lowlifes should get real honest jobs.

Time to shut down these con artists!!!

All the reviews on how bad the paintings are, are true. So all the thumbs up are of people that know how bad they are.

All the paintings are worthless including originals. I've been to art dealers and appraiser's they all said fairly close to samething and 3/4 laughed. Basically the value went when Leonid passed away they all said that not just 1. I asked "what do you mean?" They pretty much said his dishonest sons make fake paintings and sign them in his name.

I took them to a painting signature specialist he said they are fake. So take it for what it's worth.

Dont fall for the buyed positive ones! Everyone that knows about art gonna laught about you if you have something like that hanging at your home!

Where do I begin. I had order 1 painting and shortly a week after 2 more.

I asked for my tracking number numerous times and got a run around for my first order which was Cold in the morning freshness recreation. After numerous emailing back and fourth they finally sent it out. The painting doesn't come close to what I ordered which you will see. I received the other two after again fighting for tracking number.

The Sunflowers doesn't even come close to the original in terms of colours. Now that one is supposed to be a $5,000.00 painting that was reduced on SALE to 150.00/200.00 and some can't remember but a recreation nevertheless. The 3rd painting Old Freind's was a studio painting. When they sent it too me it was in the wrong orientation and their top sooo called artist Christan painted it.

It looked disastrous as you can see. I talked to Boris and he sent me another one thankfully not painted by Christian and it was done by Stefan. Stefan did a good job on it. Just be for warned your not getting what is exactly pictured.

You painting will depend on the artist who paints it. That's why they should be posting up the actual painting you will receive instead of giving you a false assumption. I won't be ordering anymore from them. Just because of their business antics are deceiving people.You gave to beg for pictures and tracking numbers.

My Freshness of the Cold evening painting was tacky with varnish and they sent it to me a month and a half later. That tells me it was recently done like a week or 10days. They had 30 days for it to dry but they waited last minute before varnishing after my 100th email. I still kept all of my emails that I may share on here if they want to dispute me on anything.

I'm just glad my experience is over with them. I never thought I'd go through anything like this in my life. It was quite an experience.

Thankfully the past 14yrs of Amazon and eBay.ca orders gone bad had prepared me for the fight of the worst seller ever. Good luck to whoever that orders from them.

You are not going to receive what you think you are getting...just a facsimile of what is pictured on the internet. I bought two pictures --one I disliked--, but did get a partial refund because I left a bad review on this website.

The other one looked nice. I never got any shipment info at all on either one.

Did not get a picture of the second picture before it was sent for my approval as I requested. The one sent was to my satisfaction, though.
